Isaiah Pauley

I was raised in a small West Virginia town by faithful parents who introduced me to Christ as a young child. My mom led me in a prayer of repentance and faith when I was five. I was baptized a couple of years later in believer’s baptism. It was around this time when I first experienced an irresistible call to be a pastor—even though I had little understanding of what it meant at the time.

At the age of fourteen, that call to pastoral ministry became visible to others. I started a blog called Cross Words where I published monthly messages. At fifteen, I began recording weekly video messages, and I preached in a local church for the first time when I was sixteen.

I accepted my first pastoral position in 2019 as worship pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Mason, West Virginia. I served in this role for about three years. While there, I was ordained to the Gospel Ministry on September 26, 2021.

During the Summer of 2022, God called me and my family to Cross Lanes Baptist Church in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, where I joyfully serve as student pastor.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biblical Studies from Spurgeon College and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 5, 2023.

I currently serve on the Executive Board for the WV Convention of Southern Baptists. I’m the author of Multiply: A Gospel-Shaped Model for Accomplishing God’s Mission (2023).

On November 21, 2020, I married a beautiful girl from my hometown. Her name is Jordon, and we have two adorable boys, Dayton and Shepherd.

You can find some of my sermons here, and you can find the midweek messages I share with the students at the Spotify icon below.

Jordon Pauley

Hey there! Glad you’re here, I’m Jordon!

I have lived in West Virginia the majority of my life. Although, I have lived in Ohio, Nevada, Tennessee, California and Mississippi, too.

Growing up, my life was not ideal. My family was broken, and life was hard. When I was 15 my mother was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer, and she passed away when I was 18. Looking back, I can see God’s hand all over my life. He has used so many broken parts of my story for His glory and good.

In 2020, I married my longtime crush, Isaiah. Now we have 2 little boys, Dayton Emmaus and Shepherd Brooks. I stay at home with them both. We have a small flock of backyard chickens and an Aussiedoodle—Oak.

Along with taking care of little boys and animals, I enjoy embroidery, cooking, and hiking! Prayerfully, I am doing all of these things to the glory of God. I hope this blog leads us all to make much of Christ.
