Using God's Gifts To Their Fullest Potential. I need to visit livestrong.com. On the website there is an article entitled, “How to Max Out When Lifting Weights.” Although written nearly a year ago, the woman author—yes, I’m that desperate—states a knowledgeable way to get the most possible from weight lifting. With this subject in mind, I picture Jesus’ apostle Matthew as being a scrawny individual with little muscle, but I may be wrong. No matter how much weight he could lift, the late tax-collector recorded the Messiah’s parable about maxing-out.
“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing what little they have will be taken away” (Matthew 25:29). These are among the last words Jesus says in the Parable of the Loaned Money in Matthew 25. The three servants that got an amount of money were responsible for caring for it until their master returned. Two of them ended-up with double the amount they started with by investment and work; however, the other servant buried his money for fear of losing it. Today, I want to leave you with a reminder of the responsibility you’ve been given by our master in Heaven. He has given you gifts and great potentials to be “Maxed-Out” in your life, and he doesn’t want fear to hold you back. God refuses to give one elect all of the responsibilities and gifts; rather, the gifts and talents are distributed to many. And last time I checked, our master is coming home soon. |
