I grew up in a small town called Mason, West Virginia. My wife's name is Jordon, and we have a son named Dayton. I serve as the Student Pastor at Cross Lanes Baptist Church just outside of Charleston, West Virginia. Before that, I served as the Worship Pastor for a church in my hometown where I was also ordained to the Gospel Ministry. I will graduate in May from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a BA in Biblical Studies and Master of Divinity.

I started a blog in 2014 called Cross Words. From 2017-2021, I wrote weekly columns for three newspapers. Most of the posts on this site are from that season of my life. These days, I post when I get a chance. My wife also posts occasionally, and when she does, she marks it with "Jordy" at the end.
